Beef Yakisoba Recipe Overview:
Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 15 minutes Servings: 4-6
Beef Yakisoba Recipe Ingredients:
For the Yakisoba Noodles:
- 12 ounces (340g) Yakisoba noodles or soba noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound (450g) thinly sliced beef (such as sirloin or ribeye)
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sliced cabbage
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
For the Yakisoba Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Beef Yakisoba Recipe Instructions:
- Start by preparing the Yakisoba noodles according to the package instructions. Typically, they are pre-cooked and only require a quick rinse under cold water to separate and loosen them. Set the noodles aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the Yakisoba sauce: soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, ketchup, sugar, grated ginger, garlic powder, and black pepper. Set the sauce aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and stir-fry until it’s browned and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the cooked beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the sliced cabbage and bean sprouts to the skillet. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet, creating a space in the center. Add the minced garlic to the center and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine the sautéed vegetables with the garlic.
- Add the cooked Yakisoba noodles to the skillet. Use tongs or chopsticks to gently toss and combine the noodles with the vegetables.
- Pour the prepared Yakisoba sauce over the ingredients in the skillet. Toss everything together to evenly coat the noodles, beef, and vegetables with the sauce.
- Stir-fry the mixture for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
