Fabada …… a Spanish dish from the Asturias area.
This easy however tasty dish makes use of Pork, black pudding and chorizo because it’s meat base components supplemented with butter beans and spices to create this glorious flavour which is ideal for utilizing an excellent crusty bread to mop up the flavours from the plate
Components
500g of pork loin, minimize into chunk dimension items
2 recent chorizo sausages, skinned and sliced
Black pudding minimize into chunk dimension items
2 onions diced small
1 medium/giant carrot diced small
425g tin of butter beans
425g Tim of chopped tomatoes
1 giant glass of pink wine
300 ml of veg inventory
Olive oil
Spice mix
Pinch of saffron powder
1 tsp of pimenton
1 tsp garlic flakes
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp dried parsley
Technique
In an oven & hob proof casserole dish add a glug of olive oil.
Combine all of the spices collectively and canopy the pork items with the combination after which mud with flour.
Warmth the oil and add the spiced meat, cook dinner till browned and sealed then add the diced greens, stir and cook dinner out, add the inventory and pink wine … deliver to a simmer.
Place lid on dish and cook dinner in oven on a low warmth approx 140c for two hours.
Take away from the oven and add the sliced chorizo, black pudding items and butter beans stir gently and add tin tomatoes, stir once more and canopy with lid, return to the oven for 1 hour.
Plate and gown with recent parsley or any leafy herb.
Serve with crusty bread …. easy however scrumptious…..
